Lugh was made with a spear in his hand, which was a common symbol of this deity to represent that he was a man on many skills. The shield represents the warrior aspect of his nature, plus it has his animal counter parts: the raven and the lynx. The sun on his shield and tunic represent his role as the "Shining One" both as a sun deity and the part he plays in the harvest. He wears a crown because he was considered a member of nobility (either a prince or a king).
His Counter Part is Cerridwen. You can view her here. Cerridwen is brimming with whimsy. I had a lot of fun making her. The cauldron acts as a pocket with a few extra added things inside as a surprise gift. The cape has the triple moon and her animal aspect the white sow. The moon crown adds a nice touch to her connection with the moon. The ribbon in her hair and on the hem of her cape was added to connect her to the harvest as she is also known as a harvest deity.
