Cunning Folk Blood Wood Athame - 7.25 inch

The Cunning Folk athame is has a mesmorizing look and feel to it. The multiple hues of light and dark reds emitted from the blood wood handle make this athame absolutely stand out. The total length of this athame is 7.25 inches and it has a 3 1/8 inch blade. The brass cross guard and pommel pair nicely with the blood wood. Blood wood is typically grown in South America, and is exotically beautiful. This athame comes with a matching hand sewn, vegetable tanned leather sheath, to protect your athame when it is not in use.

The blade is made from O-1 tool steel, which is an oil hardening tool steel that has a high carbon content. The steel is hardened to Rc 58-60 on the Rockwell C scale, which allows the steel to hold a very good edge. Being tool steel it needs to be protected with either High grade oil or silicone gun cloth. I personally use silicone gun cloth due to ease of keeping protected. Unprotected tool steel will rust. Keep dry and oiled this will last a lifetime. Hand Forged and created with the utmost purist intentions for majikal use during the Waxing moon.
